According to APEK data, approximately 197 billion CZK flows through Czech e-commerce annually, which is already a significant portion of commerce in the Czech Republic. But who are the biggest players in this market? Which e-shops have the highest revenue from goods sales in the Czech Republic? And how do you arrive at these numbers when not all companies publish their financial statements or distinguish them by country and revenue source? Peťo Brejčák from CzechCrunch came to us with a big challenge: Despite all of this, compile a ranking of the 100 largest e-shops in the Czech Republic.
Together, we spent several weeks refining our methodology. It involves a combination of thorough research and expert estimates. For each e-shop, we verified the availability of financial statements and supplemented them with additional indicators that we collect at BizMachine and that can indicate financial situation. These include data on website traffic, search engine positions, number of user reviews, and many others. This information helped us determine the approximate value of revenue from goods sales on the Czech online market.
Of course, we were aware that our numbers might not be 100% accurate. For some e-shops, we had to rely on our qualified estimates because they don't have publicly available financial statements or their statements are distorted by various factors, such as international operations or product range diversity. That's why we also consulted our results with leading e-commerce experts who helped us calibrate and verify our data. Our goal was to provide the most reliable and objective view of the Czech e-commerce market.
As we said, not everyone publishes all their data. For the largest market players, the ranking is relatively accurate, but for mid-sized e-shops with revenue below 500 million CZK, the analysis of additional factors and data that we used for our qualified estimates may play a bigger role. However, you're definitely in for interesting reading about the biggest players in the Czech e-commerce market. We wish you enjoyable exploration of our ranking.

We recommend exploring not just the full hundred, but also the rankings by individual categories. Did you know that among the top 100 Czech e-shops, 43 focus on electronics, 19 on fashion, 11 on cosmetics and drugstore items, 9 on sports and outdoor, 7 on hobby and entertainment, 5 on household goods and furniture, 3 on books and media, 2 on food and beverages, and one on travel? While everyone can probably name the biggest electronics retailers, how would you do in the fashion category or online sports equipment sales?

And if this overview isn't enough and you'd like to go deeper, just reach out to us.
Here's what the profiles of selected e-shops look like in our tool: Grizly.cz, Pneumatiky.cz, or Kamody s.r.o..
